Fox HIFI & Natural High Power present... a night for the heads!

/// N-TYPE

Strictly vibes for this one, as we welcome the don that is N-Type for a very special, dubplate, acetate, heavyweight set of pure sub pressure!

N-Type is a multi award-winning DJ, producer, radio presenter and label owner. Foundational member of the Croydon Dubstep family, affiliated with the legendary “Big Apple Records”, he’s best known for growing Dubstep from its infancy into a worldwide phenomenon. His regular show on South West London’s pirate station “Delight FM” in the late 90s acted as a launchpad, resulting in one of the longest running shows on Rinse FM, transitioning from pirate to legal FM broadcaster, and guest mixing for BBC Radio 1 shows, such as Maryanne Hobbs and Mistajam. N-Type is the label boss at Wheel & Deal Records, releasing music consistently since 2009, introducing artists such as Dismantle, Flux Pavilion, LX One and Benton. N-Typeʼs first label venture, Terrain Records started in 2005, and was one of the first labels to release 140bpm Future Jungle. He regularly plays worldwide music festivals and has supported acts such as The Prodigy, Pendulum and Dizzee Rascal on their UK arena tours.

As well as consistent releases on some of the biggest Dubstep Labels such as Tempa, Dub Police, Black Acre, Black Box and his own imprints, he has also remixed artists such as Wiley feat Emeli Sande, David Boomah, Lemon D (Valve), and Big $hot. Currently focused on Dubstep & Grime, he continues to work on new releases and new collaborations with Kromestar, under the Krome & Type label.

/// RUCKSPIN

Ruckspin is a name that hasn’t been on a flyer in London for a little while, and we are truly honoured to have him back behind the decks for us!
Ruckspin aka Dom Howard has, for the last couple of years, been behind the desk in his studio, rather than behind the turntables, but as a Lewisham local he is coming down the Fox to share his impeccable selection. Alongside his early releases on Ranking & Deep Medi, Ruckspin has produced and toured with Submotion Orchestra for over 10 years, engineering, co-writing and producing 5 albums, 3 EPs and a plethora of remixes. The band achieved universal acclaim, performing headline shows at the Barbican, the Forum and Shepherds Bush Empire as well as countless international shows from Belgium to Thailand. Having left the band, Ruckspin is now focussing his efforts on his own studio work, of which his debut solo album “Songs For The Time Being” is a shining example.

/// BENTON

Bringing the old school rave scene to the new school dance setting. The most reliable purveyor of good times, guaranteed party starter Benton is not afraid to get the dance goingand can easily be caught off the beaten track showcasing his true and extraordinary dark South London DJ knowledge. A respected dubstep break away, he has now matured to pioneer his own sound, stirring primitive jungle beats with his own inescapable basslines, placing him firmly at the forefront of today’s modern flavour. Not content with stopping there, he has engineered his own label – BBS, a SWAMP81 sub label along with Benny ill and Loefah, releasing tunes such as The Callin’ and KT2.

/// CLIFFORD JUNIOR

Clifford Junior is a South London based DJ/Producer and is part of the Reggae Roast sound system collective.
He also creates music independently. He refuses to be pigeon holed into a genre, producing a wide range of electronic styles from dubby techno to drum ’n bass, dancehall to grime/dubstep and anything in between. His latest release appears on a compilation album, put together by NiceUp! Records. “Troublemakerz” is a gritty lo-fi grime bubbler, built to make faces screw on the dancefloor. As an Audio Installer and engineer by day, Clifford knows how to get the best frequencies out of any given sound system he plays on!

/// INTERRUPT

Matt Interrupt is a reggae/dancehall producer and musician based in North London. He is a core member of Reggae Roast Soundsystem, co- producing their album ‘Turn Up the Heat’ on Trojan Reloaded in 2020, as well as a string of quality releases as ‘Interrupt’ on labels such as Scotch Bonnet Records, Raider Records, Cubiculo Records, Reggae Roast, Chopstick Dubplate, Born on Road, and his home- grown label ‘Interrupt Music’ For this event he’s curated a one away set of 140 and Bass bangers, stepping outside of his usual dancehall heaters!

DJ and Production Duo “JD The Ruler” and “DJ Fog” out of North London bring a different flex to the proceedings. with a set of Funk, Soul and classic Hip Hop to nice up the dance from the get go. With releases such as “Heavy Is The Head” and a debut EP featuring the super talented Philieano out of Long Beach CA, their set is guaranteed to set the tone in their own unique Anglo-American style.
