Rekkiabilly: Swing Punk Orchestra

Rekkiabilly, the Swing Punk Orchestra, comes down to the Fox as part of their 2023 tour.

The fiery rock'n'roll of this Puglian band conjours up an unpredictable blend of sound, evoking a pure vintage musk through a metropolitan style of composition. Written and sung in Italian without censorship of local dialect or slang, Rekkiabilly delivers a well-shaken musical experience with lyrics as authentic as homemade wine. The group was formed in 2005, combining the creative talents of singer-songwriter and guitarist, Dario Mattoni and saxophonist, Lidia Bitetti, and has been exporting its distinctive swing/rockabilly sound across Europe ever since. Following a some experimentation with the group's formation, Rekkiabilly has recently strengthened its line-up by welcoming an explosive brass sextet, and introducing the master of slap, Kris Sinister (Horrible Porno Stuntmen, Boppin Kids, Kris & Lou, Mammoth Mammoth etc.) on double bass.
